Ingredients

  • 4 onions
  • 50 g of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 100 g grated comté cheese
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 25 cl of wine white
  • 1 l of water
  • 6 slices of sandwich bread

Instructions

Step 1

Peel and slice the onions.

Brown them in the butter and oil mixture until tender and lightly browned.

Sprinkle the flour mixture, moisten with hot water and white wine and season.

Cover and let simmer gently for 20 minutes.

Toast the bread.

Place each slice in the bottom of 4 small individual oven-safe bowls.

Sprinkle with a little grated cheese. Pour the soup over the top.

Sprinkle with cheese again and brown.
